III. The interpretation of Page of Stones Wildwood Tarot

Pay your attention to the material field and the effects that arise from what you do. The indiscriminate tendencies and lack of pre-preparation can get in the way from time to time, but careful consideration restores balance.

As someone in your life: Someone with basic intelligence and dedication who hone your learning skills to improve your energy and lead the way to comfort and prosperity. As a friend, he/she rates the level of sincerity in your personality. That person may also be a pointless sloth or have a lazy personality that is difficult to change.

As an aspect or process: Learn, absorb the situation like a beginner. Keep everything true to reality, or reality rather than illusion. Set realistic goals. Get busy.

As an event or a situation: The concept of authority. Apprenticeship period, research, school, or training program. Concentration. Message from prosperity or benefit. Stealing or plundering. Laziness. Disorder in the community.

Question: What information do you need to make the right decision? What can you learn from this situation? What conditions to have a dedicated commitment from you?

IV. The guideline of Page of Stones Wildwood Tarot

Knight of Stones’ energy now gives way to Page of Stones, Lynx. We have already met Lynx with the Woodward Tarot. This shy creature is one of Europe’s top three predators – second only to its senior Stones Courts – Wolf (King of Stones) and Bear (Queen of Stones).

Lynx is a beginner when it comes to material things and heralds a time when you will benefit from focusing on your own body and personal environment. Lynx prefers a practical learner rather than a book researcher – an apprentice rather than a student.

The lynx nestled on a bare tree, searching for a quarry. It is thought that the lynx was extinct more than four thousand years ago, but bones dating back one thousand years ago have been discovered in Yorkshire. The fact that the Lewin (literally “little lion”) or the Lynx mentioned in a Cumbrian lullaby in the 7th century may indicate that some of the scattered survivors of this splendid cat still live in large areas in Northern Europe and Asia. Hunting by smell and sight, it often uses high perch to search for prey, usually at dusk or dawn. Adult lynx lives alone after leaving the litter. Plans were made to bring it back to England as a means to control deer populations.

The word “Lynx” comes from an Indo-European origin “Leuk” meaning brightness and light – perfect for the Courts who supported us to Imbolc and early spring. The Page of Stones mingles with his surroundings in winter or summer and so Page is a human being. This quiet and meek personality may be overly visible, prefer getting to work rather than creating any drama or drawing attention to himself.

Lynx is the great and quiet cat of the kitty world. It is something that will observe you from the tree, but most likely, you will not see it. This cat and this Wildwood Court card are more about observing others, studying, being careful, and meditating.

Everything you do creates an effect, like the beat of a butterfly’s wings. A little foresight can go a long way. Lynx protects its offspring and it is a formidable hunter. The use of Lynx’s power can cause problems if it is not carefully balanced. With Lynx’s excellent protection and predation, those instincts can manifest quite strongly in humans, which may temporarily block the road ahead.

Lynx is one of the symbols in the Wildwood Tarot for studying, even though he is a person who observes prey before taking a decisive blow. Studying other things and making observations is part of the reason Lynx is such an outstanding big cat.

Page of Stones says: “Now is the time to look after your own body and treat it with the love and respect that it deserves. Begin something new that supports your health – perhaps a yoga class for strength and flexibility or reassess how you fuel your body with food. Start looking at your finances too, begin a new savings plan or resolve to understand your existing plans! This is the time to begin the work, without drama or fanfare, whatever your work maybe.”

Today, the Page of Stones asks you: What small changes can you make to improve your health? What new approach can you bring to your finances?
