I. Analyze and describe the Knight of Disks Thoth Tarot
The card shows the image of the knight and the horse in a firm, rugged, clinging shape to the ground, closely linked to life and has a direct exchange with nature. This card represents the creative spirit of Mother Earth. He takes care of animals and plants, which is why he holds a thresher instead of a sword. We can say that he has replaced the Knight of Swords Thoth’s “nuclear warheads” and “missiles” with his mundane natural instincts and renewable power, representing the heir to God’s creative nature. His black shield with concentric circles is surrounded by bright sunlight, covering the background with a wide sea of mild rays. These circles are a peaceful aspect and illuminate from the spirit that the Creator bestowed on the Great Mother.
At the same time, the knight’s gigantic armor also showed limitations due to his mundane instincts, which separated him from the source of spiritual light. This explains his short-sighted behavior when he, for the sake of materiality, robs Mother Earth through clearing forests, excessively fertilizing of fields, fishing in large quantities, or torturing four-legged creatures by cornering them in narrow populations because of the need for food. However, the knight’s deer-shaped helmet, which was pushed backward, showed an expanding perception as well as inner need and willingness to grow beyond physical limitations.
We can compare the fire aspect of the earth with Dionysus, the sexy God of wine and fertility, even instead of drunkenness, the picture clearly shows us an exhausted warrior due to the increased breakers of life, preparing to pause for inspiration. He is clearly in the process of searching for himself, which he can only achieve when he no longer denies the divinity that he and all the creatures on earth have. He must dedicate himself to Mother Earth and live equally with her and her creatures, instead of placing himself on her. Kazantzaki, the author of “Alexis Zorba” once said, “Humanity is the savior of God”.
When the Knight no longer wanted something for himself but instead, recognized God in all creation, he will become the savior of God. The deer-shaped helmet shows that he was the ritual king, who took the form of a deer who had a divine marriage with High Priestess as the embodiment of the great Mother to ensure the proliferation for his people and land during his reign.
II. Interpretation of Knight of Disks Thoth Tarot
This card can represent people, in any field of life, but it can also be an experience in the field that corresponds in question.
This powerful but dark-looking character depicts a realistic, serious and mature person, whose primary concern is to ensure that what has been accomplished, to realize opportunities, and to test new plans based on their feasibility. He is clearly a pragmatist who does not allow fantasy thoughts to distract him.
According to the general experience, this card is synonymous with perseverance, unshakable, and an active process led by awake judgments. This is the stage to get down to a business instead of being satisfied with the half-hearted way of doing things. This card also represents the harvest time and maintaining the best results from development is important to do.
Consciously, in stages like this, we clearly understand how important it is to stop to find inspiration. We understand that everything takes time and therefore we get the right perspective through which we can enjoy exactly what we have done. At the same time, we also need to understand that clinging too much to what we have achieved only leads to deadlock and therefore, improving visibility to wider horizons is essential.
In the field of careers, our perceptions become clearer about what we have achieved. This card shows that this is the time to rest and strengthen, instead of getting confused. Only when what has been achieved is guaranteed and fully recognized, should we think of new plans or existing plans.
In a cooperative relationship, this card wants to show us the philistine enthusiasm. The passionate power associated with the deer motif is combined with the earth element, cherishing the values of loyalty and intimacy. This Knight represents a period of safety accompanied by a strong sense of cohesion, attachment, made up of a lively and warm sensuality.
